About organization
History
Educational Resource and Development Center, Nepal (ERDCN) was founded in 2005 to work for the improvement in existing educational system. ERDCN is the outcome of United Mission to Nepal’s educational wing accumulating the experience of over 40 years in Nepal. Since its inception to date ERDCN’s major contributions include developing and implementing the learner friendly educational materials; capacity building of school institutions, teachers and facilitators; advocacy to overcome barriers in the education and providing consultancy work to many international and national organizations, including the UN and government agencies.

Fulfillment of basic needs of the poor and marginalized through functional education.
Mission
To transform the lives of individuals and communities especially women, illiterate and children through lifelong education so that they bring positive changes in their livelihood.
Objectives
- To conduct different literacy programs in order to improve educational status of poor and marginalized.
- To develop, manage and make accessible different teaching and learning materials in order to make education more practical.
- To implement educational associated life skill building programs to make the education functional.
- To advocate for the improvement of both formal and non formal education curriculum in order to make it vocational and skill oriented.
